Junior Clinics

Junior clinics are a great way for beginners to get on the courts, have fun and learn to play the game of tennis.

Intermediate and advanced juniors can improve their game. We have enough staff on court to develop both beginners and advanced level juniors. Some proceeds go to the Cape boys tennis program.

Spring Junior Clinics

May 19 - June 11, Monday & Wednesday (May 19, 21, 28, June 2, 4, 9, 11)*No clinic Memorial Day. 

Ages 9-17, 4:30-5:30pm

Older junior players use regular size courts and a quicker transition to point play. Beginners or more experienced players are welcome. Players will be separated by ability

Ages 4-8, 5:30-6:15pm

QuickStart Tennis format allows kids to rally and play real tennis at a young age, even shortly after picking up a racquet for the first time. With smaller courts, shorter racquets and special tennis balls, kids of all abilities can learn fast and have a fun experience. 

$20/per hour or 45 minute clinic

*$10/clinic for high school players 9th grade and above.

25% sibling discount for clinics, 3rd member free.

Spring Adult Clinics

May 19-June 11, Monday & Wednesday (May 19, 21, 28, June 2, 4, 9 & 11)

6:15-7:15PM

Beginner-intermediate and intermediate level class.

Two instructors will attend, so there will be and upper level and a lower level court run at the same time to split the levels up. Thirty minutes are designated on a particular stroke and thirty minutes are designated on fun drills and games with an emphasis on doubles. 

 $20/per hour

 

Cape Henlopen Viking Junior Tennis Camp

June 16-June 18 (Mon, Tues, & Wed) 

Kindergarten Thru 8th Grade

9am-12pm, $150

Beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Courts will be split up in level of play. Open to all. Proceeds go to Cape boys tennis program.

Summer Junior Clinics 

June 23 - July 30, Monday & Wednesday (June 23, 25, 30, July 2, 7, 9,14, 16, 21, 23, 28,&30)

Ages 4-8, 9:15-10:10am 

Ages 9-17, 10:15-11:15am 

$20/per hour clinic

Fall Junior Clinics

September 9- October 16, Monday & Wednesday (Sept  8, 10, 15 17 , 22, 24 29, Oct 1, 6 ,8 15, 20 & 22)

No pre-registration required. Register and submit payment at beginning of each clinic.

Tennis clinic waiver and release of liability form must be signed by parent or guardian before attending first session.
